Draft cover

This was my draft cover for my magazine, although I didn't stick to it perfectly, I still used many of the ideas I had such as the articles.

choosing my main image

I had to think about the type of person/people for my magazine and that the audience would like to see. After looking at certain people to see if they were suited to a hip hop magazine i came to a conclusion which consisted of 2 artists. Those chosen were: Dominic Greene-Daniel and Albert Perry.

Audience profile

My magazine will be for those who like jewellery, dressing to impress, living for everyday and being INDIVIDUAL.
Readers of my magazine will most probably dislike, heavy metal, greebos, being the same as everyone else.
I really hope i can get this across when i actually make my magazine.

Ideas for my magazine

I had many ideas for my magazine which ranged from a certain colour schemes to an individual house style. I also want to make the front cover a real impact when the audience first see it. I will need to research many magazines of the same genre to gain other ideas I can use, such as main image and the articles.

This front cover really represents hip-hop, with the jewellery that the artist is wearing, the clothes and also the articles that are inside are all hip-hop artists or stories about them.
The style of the magazine is very plain but eye catching, with the plain white background and gold and black font, this magazine style is how i would like to do my magazine if all goes to plan, with a main image and articles surrounding the image.

interview for my DPS

The questions for my interview came from research into a similar magazine style, this really helped me to gain an insight in what questions to say, and the language that i was expecting in the answers. I asked various questions that helped my audience gain a vision into the life of my artists.

QR code

This is my QR code which features on my front cover. i found this by typing 'QR code' into google and i really like the look of this one, and it fitted perfectly with my cover.

I found my barcode by searching 'barcode' in google and i feel it was a very natural barcode and fitted my magazine as its unique.   http://www.barcode1.co.uk/

This is my preliminary contents page, this showed me that i can use other techniques on photoshop such as feathering, and cutting.

This is my final DPS, it has the same characteristics as the others in terms of house style, and the images were chosen as they show the emotion that I wanted to capture.

This is my completed contents page, it isn't formatted as a standard contents page with the writing on the side or dotted around. The page has various images and its very eye catching to an audience. The house style has stayed the same, with the colored blocks and black and white font.

 This is my front cover, the colors that I used for the articles are a basic black and white, but really work well with the main colors that I have used. It is very different from other magazines as it shows more to the audience by grabbing the eye of the reader with the color.

My magazine will be recognisable by the colours and the fonts that I use. I will also be designing a logo, which will feature on every page of my magazine..
